Georgina
Macdonald
Gina Macdonald is the President of Morgan Group LLC. At Morgan, she has consulted for a variety
of clients, and stepped in to special situations as an interim
executive. Currently Gina is CEO of Estateworks, a provider of
web-based esdatte planning and settlement software.
During 2000 and 2001, Gina was Chairman and
CEO of geoVue, a software company based in Boston.
At geoVue, she took a stalled company into new strategic
directions, raised their first round of venture financing, and
built a management team and product structure.
Prior to joining Morgan, Gina was an executive
at Fleet/Boston Financial Group where, among other assignments,
she was President and CEO of Fleet Real Estate Capital, and Senior
Vice President and Director of Corporate Marketing for Fleet Insurance
Services.
As CEO of Fleet Real Estate Capital, she built
a company focused oncommercial real estate loan originations,
loan servicing, special servicing of distressed loans and asset
management for institutional investors across the country, with
a special emphasis on securitized loans. During her tenure, the servicing portfolio
grew from $400 million to more than $4.2 billion, and under her
leadership, the bottom line was turned around from a loss to a
significant profit. Fleet Real Estate Capital had 11 offices in
nine states and grew from 20 employees to more than 150 employees
in 2 ˝ years.
Prior to Fleet Real Estate Capital, Gina was
Senior Vice President and head of RECOLL Management Corporation’s
Owned Real Estate (ORE). At RECOLL, Gina recruited and ran a group to manage
and sell a $2 Billion portfolio of Commercial Real Estate.
From 1986 to 1991, Ms. Macdonald was President
of The Meridian Group, a privately held real estate investment
company. She was a Senior
Vice President and group manager in the Commercial Real Estate
department of Fleet Bank from 1981 to 1986.
From 1977 through 1981, she was Director of Corporate Communications/Investor
Relations for Fleet Financial Group.
Ms. Macdonald, who majored in history at Indiana
University, is a board member of the Massachusetts Women’s Forum,
First Trade Union Bank, Indiana Warehouses and Crosley Building
Corporation, a Corporation member of the Providence Public Library,
and was a founding member of the Steering Committee of New England
Women in Real Estate (NEWIRE). She is an avid sailor, gardener and skier.
